His diverse subjects include adventure sports, science research, and habitat conservation in mountains, desert, forest, and river environments. He has photographed ice climbers in Iceland, mountain bikers in Western Australia, pack-rafting in Tasmania, mountain climbing in Mali, tree canopy research in Borneo, and swimming pygmy sloths in Panama.
